Illhaeusern

A former boatmens’ village, Illhaeusern takes its name from the Ill, the river that runs through the village.

This village has two post-war churches famous for their artistic stained glass windows. From this village, you can cross the Ried and the Illwald forest yourself (nature reserve) in a Canadian canoe or kayak, or go hiking around the village.
